No, if I ever did something like that people who know me would think I was off my rocker. I have had the same shade of blonde with highlights for several years and changes don't come easily for me. I have, though, been considering going a bit darker for fall/winter. It's time for something a bit different.
When I was in my 20s I had a long shag style and the stylist I was seeing at the time made a drastic mistake when mixing the solution. I don't know what he was going for but I was shocked at the result (dark cinnamon?). My friends told me I looked like an Irish Setter.

A couple of friends have done the jeweled stripe or wave and it has been beautiful on everyone who has dyed hair. My hair has never been dyed and at 74, I'm not about to do it at this late stage in life. Should have done it when my hair was all one color before I hit 60 and it began to turn. <sigh>
For those of you thinking of doing it, HAVE FUN! It's very pretty!!

@CatsyCline I do it myself with a shampoo/conditioner product. Lasts more than three weeks before it starts to fade. I use "punky" shampoo, from their website. They have a ton of colors. I saw a couple colors at Target, too.

I just placed my order on Amazon for the Tealistic shade. Can't wait to do my own hair!
Thank you @zitawins for mentioning that brand.

Absolutely not...I do not like unnatural color hair and never had the need to be noticed. My hair has always been long, still is and I would never have colored it since I loved my long wavy hair; starting in my 20's and through the years I wanted some highlights in my light brown hair around my face...as I aged into my late 60's and 70's my hair started growing in lighter around temples naturally.

@CatsyCline wrote:a few years i wanted to do peekaboo highlights in a pinky burgundy. i did my own bayalage so i could do it myself. but now i'm 13 months out from coloring. so i'll wait until i'm all natural. i have 6" of virgin hair now . i have so little grey except the temple area and a white streak in front. the rest is a blah dark blonde with grey mixed in.
@CatsyCline Love your tag name and avatar!![]()

I would love to but I WON'T. I am passed that age of fun and color with the hair, especially colors blue, green, lilac, red, etc. The colors are left for the younger gals or that is my opinion. ![]()
