Jelly nail polish

I bought OPI's Big Hair Big Nails from the grocery store this morning. I liked the color. When I got back home, I researched it to see what other people thought of it, and it seems to be a "jelly finish", which I'd never heard of. Very intense color, but thin consistency so several coats are needed. I haven't tried it yet (my Sally Hansen Commander in Chic is still unchipped from Sunday) but I'm itching to have a go. Has anyone here got an opinion of this jelly thing?
