Is there a difference between the It Celebration foundation SPF 50 and the one in the black case Celebration foundation( not the illumination ) besides just having SPF 50. Not sure why you would have one with and one without because of the importance of having SPF?

I've been  using the original one in the black case for quite some time now. Earlier this year somehow I accidentally ordered the one with SPF 50 and I hated it. Think the compact was silver but not 100% sure, memory isn't what it used to be! It was just so powdery looking and showed pores I never knew I had, they looked like little volcanos. Why there was such a difference just because of an SPF I have no clue but for me that's how it played out.

I think the problem with SPF 50 foundations is they have to use a physical, rather than a chemical SPF.  That means the foundation has to be more opaque and thick on your face.  This is not good thing for most of us older gals.  I like Laura Geller's Balance & Brighten Illumination foundation with the SPF 15, but I think if you need a higher SPF than that, you may need to use a liquid or cream SPF moisturizer underneath.

@jjb There is quite a difference between the regular Celebration foundation and the ones with SPF 50, illumination and anti-aging.  I have tried ALL FOUR of them and the regular Celebration looks best and most natural on me.  Yes, it cost me some money, but it was well worth it.  I just hope she doesn't change the formulation now.Smiley Frustrated

If you look at the ingredient list, all celebration foundations have spf.  The ones that don't indicate 'spf' in the name don't list the percentages of  Titanium Dioxide & Zinc Oxide  on the ingredient list.  But those ingredients are still high up on the list- that works for me!

Is the regular Celebration Foundation that you use the one in the black case? Anyone have the item# of the regular Celebration foundation? I think that's the one I should try since it does seem like that's the one everyone likes best. Thanks for all your input!!
