I purchased two Clarisonic 'knock offs'. One from Q a LONG time ago and one from beauty.com (OB)
Both were a total waste of money. Never noticed any difference in my face or deep pore cleaning. They were less money and to me LESSER quality.
After buying my Clarisonic (same one 4 years ago) I noticed a huge change in my pore size and makeup removal.
I ALWAYS use it to remove my facial makeup (not eye makeup). Scrubbing first with your hands or a washcloth is going to push the dirt down deeper. I never do that anymore!!!
The motion of the brushes lifts it right out. Sometimes I test w/ a cotton pad and toner to see if the makeup is truly gone. YUP! Not one trace of makeup is left behind.
My sis also used a knock off she got with Proactiv and said it was useless. She uses a Clarisonic now.

@Miss Shelly In the past I did use a few other inexpensive ones but the Clarisonic works much better. I have since switched to Forea Luna 2, was debating on the normal or sensitve but ended up purchasing the sensitve. I prefer it over the clarisonic, love the feel of it, cleans well without stripping & its timed plus easy to clean. It lasts for months without charging. It turned out to be well worth the cost.

I've never tried the Clarisonic but I have tried other brushes. I think that sonic action is the key. If you can find a brush with the sonic action, it will be similar to the Clarisonic. To use a brush that only goes in a circle is just not going to be as effective.
I use a Remington sonic brush, with several different "speeds", got it from Walmart, very inexpensive and I am very happy with it. It's rechargable, which I also believe is better than anything battery operated where you have to change the batteries.
I remove my foundation makeup first with a cleaning cloth, then use the Remington with a bit of cleanser on it. My skin is flawless. I always clean and dry my brush after every use and store it upright to air dry as well.

@Shanus I agree, the Clarisonic does a good job. I buy brushes on eBay which are not the official brushes but I can't tell the difference and they're surely a lot cheaper. I don't change them very often. Like ink in printers and coffee pods for machines, Clarisonic makes their killing on after-sales.

I know I'm a small minority, but I had lousy luck with the Clarisonic. I developed black heads around my nose, something I've had little experience with in my entire life. Obviously Clarisonic wasn't "strong" enough for me, I went back to my Skinn and Baby Wipes towelettes.

I noticed no changes at all when I used the clarisonic other than it was just a time consuming unnecessary extra step.

I like how my skin feels after I js cut. Plus for me I like the comvenience rather then have wash clothes dirty and wet all the time.

I didn't think so. I used mine until it gave up. I didn't notice any difference in my skin.

Thank you ladies. I've had the Olay version, Ordered the Mia 2 with the brushes and I'm trying to decide if I'm keeping it or returning it. Decisions, Decisions......

Anyone undecided if they should spend the money on a Clarisonic should go to viewyourdeal-MichaelTodd beauty.com and see the incredible deals on his sonic face machines, which are only good today & tomorrow. You can't beat the prices. My Clarisonic is dying after six years so I am replacing it with one of these sonic devices since they are basically the same, if not better
