Is the Clarisonic really all that?

Is the Clarisonic really a lot better than the less expensive spinning facial scrubbers?

I doubt anyone here has used them all so it's a pointless question.  I can just say I've been pleased with mine.

Re: Is the Clarisonic really all that?

Miss Shelly, I bought one the very first time I saw them and used it every day until it died last week.  I can't compare to any of the immitations as I had the original and it worked beautifully for 10(?) years.  Worth every penny, and I'll be purchasing another as soon as I have time to shop around.  I can only liken it to using an electric toothbrush and then going back to using a manual.

Re: Is the Clarisonic really all that?

I had a Clarisonic and SKINN that were sonic and also 2 cheaper ones that just were spinning ones and there definitely was a difference.  The sonic action is what makes them so good.  I now use a Foreo Luna which is sonic and for me the best since there are no brush heads to replace and being silicone bacteria doesn't grow on it.  I would compare sonic to just spinning to the toothbrushes that are sonic and the ones that just spin.  They can be better than just an old fashioned toothbrush (or hand scrubbing) but not as good as sonic.

Re: Is the Clarisonic really all that?

The first cleansing tool I purchased was a dupe for a Clarisionic.  It had sonic vibrations, like the Clarisonic, so it wasn't a spinner.  I used it faithfully and ended up with broken capillaries.  With that, I quit using it.  I moved on to a genuine Foreo Luna Mini, which I loved, but it went kaput at right around 1 yr. of use.  I now use a dupe for the Foreo Luna, that I only paid around $18.00 for on Amazon, and it's still going strong.  IMO, it can't be beat - cleanses well, is gentle to the skin, has a range of speeds, no brushes to replace, holds a charge for several months, can be used as a tool to help products penetrate better, and all for a very small investment.  When it bites the dust, I'll replace it with another similarly styled dupe that I have in reserve.

I'd skip the Clarisonic and go for the Pop Sonic Leaf - no brushes to buy, charges for 6 months, easy on the face (even the sensitive brushes are rough in Clarisonic), cleans and exfoliates wonderfully and easy to clean. Oh and less expensive. I would never go back to the Clarisonic after having the Pop Sonic Leaf.

No, it is not really all that- I had one and it gave out on me in two years.  Went on Amazon and bought a knock off and I love it even better - cleans easier and works just as well.  Must have cost me less than $30.  Don't fall for the hype.

@Kachina624. After using my Clarisonic, my face feels super clean & ready for next step of skincare.

I have seen models use it to remove makeup...smooching it around the face w/ makeup remover. This seems counter productive as the makeup is being ground into the pores.

I remove my makeup first and then use the Clarisonic w/ a bit of cleanser to make sure all traces of makeup of gone and skin is polished.

I also purchased mine when it first came out and am on AD program w/ Clarisonic for brush replacement.

I prefer the Luna.  I've used both, but I like the Luna much better.  It has more control to get in around my nose and forhead, I don't have to change brushes, (that are very expensive), and I can clean the surface of the Luna.  My skin looks much better using the Luna.

Re: Is the Clarisonic really all that?

Ponnic, May I ask where you purchased the Pop Sonic Leaf? I have also had my clarsonic since it was first shown on the Q. I purchased a second clair. last week from the Q It came with 4 extra brusches. Also, have a Foreo Luna. My concern is after cleansing does the brishes just wash off the Luna ? Not really sure I can probably cleanse. Many thanks (P.S. My original clair died last week after all years I had from the Q Reason for purchasing Second )
