I would have loved the stick lip-balm. I got a pot of tinted balm, different brand. Not moisturizing whatsoever, and the color doesn't show at all. It feels more like a cheek color to me. If I wasn't break-out prone, I'd use it for that.

I did get a scrub sample that is fine. Then again, I like almost every scrub I have gotten for a sample.

Honestly, if you aren't picking out each item, then you might not like these sample boxes and bags. They are meant for you to try new items and possibly buy the full size after trying them. It's not guaranteed that you will like all items. If you don't like that chance, then cancel.

I think it's fun to see what comes each month. I cancelled Birchbox because I wasn't really impressed with any items I received, but I've liked some of the Ipsy items, and that is a win for me. Unless Ipsy can read your mind, it's highly unlikely that you'll love every single item! I might not keep it forever, but I've liked the last few bags I've received, and will continue to see what comes in future bags.

I have tried twice to get a sub, both times fooled so shame on me!

I have been on wait list since early December or so I thought.

Then yesterday I got an email saying subs were available only to fill out form again and yet again be told again I was on WL and to get off I had to "like" them on FB, which I refer to do.

Liking on FB is now meaningless because they "sell" likes in ways such as this, and with contests etc. And as some of you know I value my privacy too much to live such a public life. Who cares anyway!

Between deceptive emails and the things I've read on this thread I think I was lucky not to get subscription after all.

The next email I get from ipsy I will once again try to cancel, like julep you can't cancel until you actually get on the sub!

I have not heard of any of the eco friendly subs, what type of actually products do you get?

beauty products - just eco-friendly. eye shadow, eyeliner, blush, lipsticks, lipgloss, face lotion, foundation, nail polish, serums, hair products - anything that other subs have.

they just focus on eco-friendly and vegan friendly products.

some to look at (and they have places where you can review past months and also brands )

ecoemi.com

yuzenbox.com

saffronrouge.com/service/inner-circle

Thank you, I will check these out.

Hopefully they will be more ethical than ipsy and julep maven too!
