Ipsy bag

So I rec'd my first Ipsy bag. I don't get it! I'm actually annoyed I paid $10 which is not a lot of money but I can't use any of this stuff. Eyeshadow looks to be from the dollar store. I just don't get it! Are all the bags like this? Sorry to those that love this bag! It's just not for me I don't think.
