IT Lipstain/Balm Question

I received the TSV for IT coming up the end of the month. I really like the way the lippy is moisturizing and it stains my lips for hours. The clear color in the tube turns hot pink on my lips! This really surprised me and I have to say that I'm not happy with that color. Has anyone tried other colors? I really don't think I would be interested in the darkest color that is part of the set of 3. Do the other lighter colors show up less pink? I'd sure prefer more of a peachy or nude color. Does it change to bright pink on everyone? Thanks for your experiences.
