IT Illuminating Powder

Is this any different than a pearlized loose eye shadow such as bareMinerals Soul or Purist? I am really interested in trying the powder. I've been using Soul and Purist for the same thing as the IT powder effect, from what I can tell on TV. What's different about the powder that would give me a reason to buy it? I'm really just not familiar with it and I don't want to buy it if it's going to do the same thing as what I'm already using to achieve the same effect. I thought some of you who already use the powder could help me out.
