I've been using the IT concealer, foundation and powder. It does everything it states...silky, full coverage. However, is anyone using this getting too much glow look...shiny? I use the medium which is the normal shade but wondering if a darker color would be less shiny. I don't overuse so wonder if the shiny is supposed to be normal...even the power really does this...

Thanks.

Are you using the regular foundation or the illuminating? Put It foundation in the search bar to see the difference. A darker shade won't help the shine issue on either one.

I think the shades in the regular IT Celebration Foundation are matte & appear a bit darker on the face than the sames shades in the illuminating IT foundation. I think it's due to the bit of glow that the Illuminating foundation provides.

Don't go darker, you'll just look like you have a dirty face. There are several powders that IT offers - the loose one, the Celebration Foundation, and the Celebration Foundation Illumination. The illumination one gave me the "Tin Man Glow", I didn't like it. The others have been fine. I'm not sure, but it might have something to do with your application, if you're using the right brush for the job. If you're using the wrong brush, you might be picking up too much of the powder and it might get concentrated in certain areas when you apply it. I realize it might be another step, but you might consider a finishing powder that will take down the glow. Crushed pearl powder on eBay is super inexpensive. It is good for your skin and can be used as a finishing powder.

I use the regular Celebration Foundation and really like it. I tried the Illumination one and hated it - it creased and cracked and exaggerated dry areas of my skin. I have naturally shiny spots on my cheeks, right next to my nose so no matter what I use, I have to tone down my skin with some kind of finishing powder. I use the IT Bye Bye Pores and LOVE it. My skin eats make up like no one's business so I usually have to reapply with something ( would LOVE a solid compact of Bye Bye Pores for on-the-go use!) to cut down.

I would not go up a shade - it would probably be too dark. I would try a light finishing powder. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I adore IT and I have just about the entire line-but I have to use a "mattifying" primer or a finishing powder. I have to be really careful with illuminates, but placed strategically, they really give me another dimension.

I've been using A237974 (below) and getting great results. I'm very fair so I flip back and forth between the Fair and the Light shades, depending on the season. I use the tarte kabuki brush to apply and it does start out shiny-ish. But after 5 mins or so, it settles down to a mostly matte finish with a just a hint of dew. I love it!
