When I bought the original IT Cosmetics full-coverage powder compact. I did so because it was promoted as a one-step. out-the-door item for full coverage. Now, there are so many under-laying and over-laying products in the IT line....anyone else feel this way ??

This is not unique to IT. All of the cosmetic companies market multiple products. There are two ways for a company to increase sales. Increase the number of people purchasing your products or increase the number of products purchased per customer. Wen CC was supposed to take the place of all your hair care. Now look at how many products are sold. It seems Tarte puts out a new foundation and new concealer about twice a year. Bare Minerals launched the dreaded liquid foundation and now has a CC.
It's just how the game is played. We as consumers are free to make choices on what we need or don't need.

Not really. I use the CC Cream, which is as close to an all-in-one as I'm likely to get. Different folks have different needs, hence the variety of products that are available. Just because they're on the market, doesn't mean that you need to incorporate them into your beauty routine. Just use what works for you.

Every brand tries to upsell you. You just have to make weed out the hype. You probably don't need CC and powder and contour and highlight and radiance, etc., but it is fun to experiment.
If you don't need it, that's great! You will save lots of money!
