Re: I've just ordered Jose' Eber rollers from HSN

I did not see Jose's but I have velcro rollers at home.  I rarely if ever use them.

I have fine, poker straight hair and they do nothing on their own.  To get anything in my hair with the rollers, I have to use a round brush and blow dryer and style my hair that way. Then I can put in velcro rollers, spray with hairspray and use the blow dryer again.  Then I put my make-up on, get dressed and pull the rollers out.  All I get is slight body and I mean slight.  It's not worth all the trouble.

Sometimes these work okay on second day hair.  But these don't do a thing for my hair if I use them on poker straight hair.  They give me no bend, no volume, no nothing.   I have the exact same issue with those styling brushes like Calista sells.  Those do nothing for my hair unless I have some style going already.

My hair is too fine for hot rollers.  They slide right back out of my hair.

Re: I've just ordered Jose' Eber rollers from HSN

I've used hot rollers in the past - tried several brands and received mixed results.  DH and I are currently on a trip.  I didn't want to lug hot rollers with me so thought I'd give the Conair version of JE rollers a try.  I wasn't sure what size I'd need so I bought the assortment pack (3 different sizes, 4 of each) - found a set of three packs on eBay for about $30.  I did use some styling products, but these rollers have given me better results than any hot rollers ever have.

Thanks for posting, @JeanLouiseFinch. I've tried most everything, I might give Conair a go. 8)
