Wouldn't it just be so wonderful if everybody with any kind of emotional or psychological situation, for lack of a better word, could just "use a little self control" and voila -- problem solved.

Yes it would! And remember we are talking hair conditioner. She's not a ped a flle. We all like our "stuff".

There's nothing wrong with liking our stuff. And most of us post about that all the time here. I can do light-hearted when it comes to beauty products and some impulsive buying. But I thought she was being serious in her concern. I took the OP and her post at face value.

I've been here on this shopping channel message board long enough to know that I shouldn't enter this type of discussion. It invariably does not go over well.

Hope you understood my response was also lighthearted.

Re: I have a SERIOUS Problem. Anyone else do this?

I love to shop online, especially late at night. For the past year or two, I shop and put items into my cart. I do not purchase them right away. I go to bed and the next morning if I remember and I still want the items, I make the purchase. This method has saved me money. I admit that I have a few boxes of things I purchased on line that are in my closet unopened. We all have our habits and things we need to work on fixing. I found that I liked to shop, but didn't really need anymore stuff. Now I have the thrill of shopping, but no damage is being done to my pocketbook for stuff I really don't need.

I have a THING about paper towels and toilet paper....never want to run out, so I shop the sales and have lots of back stock....I totally understand why you stock up!

Re: I have a SERIOUS Problem. Anyone else do this?

This is an official invitation to come visit us on the ComPact thread. A few years ago I decided to justify my collection of philosophy 3-in-1s. My justification for collecting them was this: They're not just shower gel -- they're shampoo, too!

But did I stop buying shampoo? No.

So I decided to use these as they were intended and then tried to buy a conditioner to "match" each fragrance.

I discovered very quickly that most hair conditioners are substandard and that I'd purchased most of them. Couldn't use them on my hair, so I downgraded them to shaving gel.

How much shaving gel does a person need?

If I could find ONE competent hair conditioner I'd be happy to commit to that ONE product.

Again, drop by and see us.

I haven't hit the "buy" button yet, ... BUT, I'm such a sucker for free shipping and discounts.

Re: I have a SERIOUS Problem. Anyone else do this?

I can't imagine having that many conditioners.........do you not match the shampoo with the conditioner? I wear the same company of products.........I can't help it, I think they work in sinc together but I do love one by Davines and I mainly use it and sometimes I switch shampoos. OP what brands have you found that are nice and what type of hair do you hair?
