You'll laugh but I find the best $1.00 nail colors in Big Lots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have many from that store. I do like Sally Hansen and Revlon - as long as it's quick or fast dry, I'm in.

I have been using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat and it's great.  I use it on top of any polish and can go almost a week without chipping.  And I'm usually not careful about wearing gloves, etc.

I know this is unconventional but when I want my nails to really look nice, I simply put on one or two coats of a light pink polish and that's it. No base coat...no top coat. If it's not going to last anyway when I do it the traditional way, and I can't stand to wear gloves to protect my polish, and it's not hurting my nails, and it's so easy and not time consuming...one day I just said to myself:

Why Not????  I'm simply not willing to invest the time or care polished nails need so this is the system that works best for me.
