Re: I can't believe how SLOW returns are at QVC!

An FYI when using return labels I just learned this week. I took two return envelopes in to the Post Office, one I was paying the cost of shipping right then and the other using the QVC label as it saved me $ by doing so. I requested the receipt that everyone always says to get so you have proof you sent it back.

Well, when we were finishing, the gal said that will be $1.30 for the proof (a Certificate of Mailing that she had filled out completely) that you sent back the envelope using the QVC label. I asked her why there was a cost when it seems so many here say all you need it a receipt you delivered it to the PO. She explained to me that getting a receipt that you dropped it off is not proof and many businesses are not accepting those receipts. She said that receipt really proofs nothing and literally could have been picked up off the street. She has already seen problems with businesses not honoring them (Amazon was one mentioned but she stated others as well) So if you are not getting a "Certificate of Mailing" filled out by someone at the Post Office or other authorized mailing site, then you have no legal standing if proof is required.

I then noticed that for the first time, I got an email from QVC that my return package was enroute. So there definitely is a difference because I have never received an email from QVC before within 24 hours of mailing. HSN I have but never before from QVC.

Just thought anyone who wants to be extra sure that you have actual proof that you mailed something back using a QVC label, you'll need to get a Certificate of Mailing filled out and it has a small cost but it also guarantees that QVC can't question it's validity.
