I usually don't wear much in the first place.  I usually put on foundation and do my brows.  Tonight we're going to a restaurant to listen to a band my husband's co-worker is in.  I thought I'd put a little more make up on, mascara and eyeshadow.  I must say I after putting it on, I missed it a bit.

I know what you mean. I look dramatically different in full makeup vs a little.

I wore makeup yesterday for a lunch out with GFs. It was weird putting stuff on my face again.

@ScrapHappy  I love the feeling and the confidence you have after applying makeup, yourself but better.  And I love live music, hope you had a great time tonight.

I still haven't put on all my makeup, but the other day I did put on some facial makeup and actual lipstick, as opposed to just balm and even I was amazed at how much better I looked!  I was in some stores and I felt a bit more confident about myself!  Silly, but it's true.  My whole life, since I've been 16, I've always worn makeup when I walked out the door no matter what I was doing, and this past year, I just kind of forgot how much better I felt when wearing my makeup!  I'm still on a learning curve, but I'm trying to get into the groove again!

Being in seclusion and not feeling so good or happy and then just deciding --- what's the point --- I kind of forgot the positive things that makeup can do!  It might seem like it's unimportant, but you're right --- if it's makes you feel more confident and a bit better about yourself, then it's worthwhile to make the extra effort and to take a few minutes to apply a couple things!  I can never look like I did when I was 30, 40, or even 50, but I can look a bit better at almost 69 years young!  My first things were mascara and aqua Yardley eyeshadow --- OMG!  Ha-ha!
