If you mean Philosophy Purity, I found it extremely drying. My skin is dry, I live in a very dry climate. Recently I made a change in my routine. I have been using cream cleansers at night, ones that take off makeup as well as cleanse. I bought the Skinn TTV that had the cleansers and the Dermapeel. I had been using Dr Gross's pads, I find the Dermapeel once a week has helped create a good surface for my moisturizer to really soak in.

So at night I now use the Skinn pm cleanser and Isomers copper serum, in the morning I use the am cleanser with my clarisonic. Then I follow with the Dr Gross pads, his retinol serum, Isomers Copper Ceramide cream, then Dr Gross ferulic moisturizer. Yes, I use two creams. This combo is keeping my skin smooth, hydrated, the fine lines are kept at bay. I cannot use a moisturizer at night because it interferes with the seal of my cpap mask (for sleep apnea).Once a week I treat my face to 100% Pure hydrating balm. It is thick, only need a little bit.

Other cream cleansers that I have liked are Clinique Comforting Cream Cleanser, Nia 24 cream cleanser, and just plain Jojoba Oil. Josie Maran's Bare Naked cloths are great for travel, they do not have to go into the quart bag and they get off all my makeup when I follow with a damp, warm washcloth.

Have you ever tried the "nasal pillows"? If fitted properly these are really comfortable.

Hi,

I do not really have dry skin but at some point I noticed constant dehydration.

I changed my cleanser from an oil to Ren's Cleansing Balm with an Eve Lom Muslin cloth. I only use the cloth with warm/hot water in the morning.

I believe the change in cleanser and the elimination of cleanser in the morning has made a big difference. My skin is far more supple and moist. I have not experienced that feeling of having to add something to make my face look and feel hydrated.

I also found cleansing once a day is better for my skin too. However, I only cleanse in the morning and only apply products then. I do nothing at all to my skin at night. My skin looks much better since I started doing this.

I used to cleanse twice a day when I was younger, but my older skin won't tolerate the same routine. I really have to be more gentle with my skin now.

I only cleanse my face with a cleanser once a day too for the most part but I always cleanse at night to wash off all the grime, oil and pollution off my face (and makeup). You'd be surprised how much grime can accumulate on your skin throughout the day from air pollution. {#emotions_dlg.scared}

Great recs. Always looking for different products that worked for others. I also have sensitive very dry skin and like many of you nothing soaks in and moisturizes. Hope one of these recs works. Tia Shopping girl

Ponds Dry Skin Cream. Also check your cleanser, you might need something more moisturizing like Ponds Cold Cream Smiley Happy

I've been having trouble with severely dry skin. I've tried everything. Bought some Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel (toner) which is also a moisturizer. (Ordered from Amazon).

My face is no longer dry and I've only used two days, after cleansing at night and after cleansing in the morning.

Wonderful!! Who thought just a toner could do so much good.

So true. I am amazed many evenings with the grime that comes away. Even days I have not worn a tinted moisturizer or foundation. And, yuk, the grime from my neck. I can't imagine that on my skin until morning. No offense meant, Montana. I live in a large city known for poor air quality when it is a hot summer day.

I have dry skin, be sure to hydrate from within as someone else said, be sure to exfoiliate regularly.

I found my saving grace with oils......both Argon Milk and Algenist oil..these two work for me. Regular Argon is two heavy for me and makes me break out....Sometimes I don't need a moisturizer after them, and sometimes I use a small amout on my face.

Of coarse I use oil, and eye cream, eye serum on eyes. Very little oil on lids though.
