Human Hair Extensions

Was watching the presentation earlier for those hair extensions and I got to thinking where in the world do they get all that hair to make them. If you think about it, that's a huge amount of hair. Some of those are very very long. I just can't fathom where it all comes from.

@makena I was thinking the same thing. I know high quality human hair wigs are very expensive. Maybe we don't want to know where they're getting the hair.....LOL!!!!

Chris Rock did a documentary on where the hair for weaves comes

from ...mostly from India .. the women there grow their hair long

specifically to be sold for this purpose ...I believe the film was

actually called " Hair " ....

@Big Joanie yes, you are correct. What was omitted, however, is that the Temple priests sell the hair that is given as an "offering" Don't you love it?

@makena, I watched the presentation too and I wonder where the hair is coming from, Did you ever think that maybe we don't want to know? lol It did look very natural but not for me.

People with virgin hair grow it for cancer patients and for extra money.

My daughters and granddaughter have donated their hair to cancer organizations. Sadly, I believe one of those agencies discovered they could not account for $6,000,000 worth of donated hair. Makes you wonder.

Also, I recall reading several years ago that in South America (can't remember the exact country), culprits were running up behind women and cutting off their hair to sell illegally.

Maybe it's just me , but it kind of creeps me out thinking of wearing someone's hair not knowing were it came from. I would have to know the origin , I would feel better with synthetic hair even though it would probably not look as good or natural. I do love the idea if it . I have long hair but to get more fullness would be great , and it does seem easy, just need to know where it's from.
