I tend to use the same 4 or 5 that I really love.....I am not one for pallettes because I feel for me personally that I don't use that many colors so its a waste of money for me.......Unless it's a palette with only 3 or 4 colors-I have purchased several of Mally's in the past where she offers 3 colors and I find myself using those often!

At 1 time or # of pallettes? I use 1 shade for brows, 1 for lid and 1 for a liner. I don't mix lots of different/coordinating colors for lids and crease.

It looks really fun, but I wish they'd show all the colors (unless I am missing something, I only saw the brown palette). However, I'm with the rest of you; I only use about 4 or 5 colors regularly. Plus, I have tons of BE shadows if I feel like something a little more dramatic. I find that as I get older, less is more, and I never wear the dark, smoky-eye colors...and this is why:

I only like a few colors that really bring out the blues in my eyes - problem is they have to be the perfect shade of certain colors - like coppers, peaches, and taupes

That's such a great Go-Gurt yogurt commercial, LOL. Love it.
As for me, I use usually 3 sometimes 4 at a time. All very close to the same shade and also very well blended so it doesn't look like I'm wearing 4 different eye shadows. Although I don't own any palettes. I wear loose mineral shadows. Sometimes I wish my favorite minerals were able to be made into a nice pressed shadow palette. I love the look and the wear of my 2 or 3 favorite indy brands of loose minerals, but miss the simplicity and ease of pressed shadows.
I seem to rotate through a dozen or two or so in any given time period. Although my total is somewhere closer to a hundred or more.

1) touchbase canvas 10 (Clinique) on lid
2) dermablend Chroma 0 lid up past brows
3) Clinique bronze rum at outer corners 3)
4) Stila luminizer all over in ""kitten""
