With most any kind of VC serum, once applied to clean dry skin and allowed to dry down, the skin will absorb it rather quickly. After that the VC molecules get dispersed inside the skin layers (reservoirs) where they stay until they get used up. On the surface there isn't much going on and the VC that got absorbed cannot be wiped away. So, what that means is you might want to gently wipe off your face with a damp cloth before using that GF serum. Any VC serum left on the surface is not doing anything anyways.

- @SilleeMee @JeanLouiseFinch ....great info. THANK YOU!!! ..right now all I have is the ordinary powder...it gets mixed in any liquid or cream. I'd like to finish it.
I bought it because I never felt or saw any difference with others...I've used The Lab, Timeless, Dr. Brenner...I've always heard l ascorbic is the best/ potent...so i try stick with that. So....what if I use the T.O. powder mid day....between the GF??
I really want to stick with the GF 2x daily.
Of course that would be on a day im home with no make up, to incorporate the C powder. Idk...maybe not a good idea.
@JeanLouiseFinch ...where do you get the C serum? Tet....?
@Dazlin - we'll call it THDA for short. I was introduced to the Lab Direct Power Punch Serum by @SilleeMee and stocked up on it. I was almost out and planned on moving to Proot because it has the THDA. I actually ordered a bottle, and then the Power Punch showed up on ShopLC again at the same time so I bought a few. I will contine with them, including the Proot, until I need to order again, which may not be until the end of 2026!! In the event that I can't get the Power Punch anymore Proot will be my next choice.

@SilleeMee wrote:It would depend on the pH of the VC serum. Some VC derivatives are more on the neutral side whereas ascorbic acid is highly acidic and would denature the proteins in the GF serum plus neutralize the ascorbic acid. You can try a different VC derivative instead.
@SilleeMee - Just wanted to say that I love this chart. Thanks for showing it again.
