I had a bout with rosacea on my cheeks, but my eyelids took the biggest hit...
My face is clear, but I cannot clear up my eyelids totally...I have been using Clinique eye cream most recently, (not at first, only perscription eyelid cream when at their worst)....They still burn and scale sometimes, I wish I could find an eyelid product that would make the burning and dry skin go away...
I cleansed them only with baby shampoo like the eye dr told me, that makes my eye's burn tho sometimes too..

I don't have rosacea but last fall I had a bout of very irritated eyes that would look very red, puffy and then would get scaly and peel. I quit using all eye creams and switched to rosehip seed oil upon a recommendation from this board. The anti-inflammatory powers of RHS oil calmed my eyes and they healed over a period of about 3 weeks. I now use a combination of CeraVe eye cream and Shikaii Borage Therapy eye cream. No irritation with these products. I no longer use the RHS oil but will if this ever happens again. I hope you find a solution to your eye irritation.

Lately I've been using Mad Hippie Eye Cream. So far, I like it.

Mad Hippie sounded like the answer to my issues, but unfortunately, I reacted badly to it. I think my eyes were in such a bad state, I had to use something with the simplest ingredients. Rosehip seed oil worked wonders for me.

Perricone acyl glutithione for eye lids. I have been using 4 years. I am 68, and my eye lids are silky smooth and firm, Better than they were when I started. This is one product that really works JMHO

I've always use eye cream, always. I just smear it all over my eye area. Never harmed anything. My eye area is always nicely moisturized and totally without any fine lines or wrinkles. I only use Clinique products.

There are a few cremes targeted only for under eyes but I have never had a problem finding cremes that are meant to be used all around the eye. Most are supposed to be used that way.

My eyelids are dry and crepey (though not overly wrinkled.) I find most eye creams are targeted for the orbital area and not necesarily for the delicate (and sometimes sensitive) skin from the crease down to the lash line. What do you use to keep the lid itself moisturized and smooth? Not looking for a primer but rather a daily or nightly moisturizing option.
Besides my nightly eye cream, 100% aloe vera gel, specifically the one by "Fruit of the Earth".
It's natural, hydrating, soothing, and cooling.
Plus, it super-affordable for most.

Eye creams on the eyelids can be hit & miss, some can irritate, some don't. Even the ones that dont irritate at first or awhile can all of a sudden start to irritate at a later time. So i use a tried and true non-irritating product. No anti-aging treatments, just non irritating moisturization. Egyptian Magic Cream. It's more of a balm but its totally organic. Only about 6 ingredients, olive oil, royal bee jelly , bees wax, honey, bee propolis and bee pollen. Good for nighttime because it is a bit oily. But it has never broken me out even when ive slathered it on my face after overdoing it with my retin-a.
