Hourglass Cosmetics and Animal Testing -- this is nice!

(Taken from their website):

Do you rely on animal testing? As a cruelty-free brand, Hourglass does not incorporate animal testing into our development phase or at the production level. We do not provide authorization to any third parties to perform animal testing on our products. In addition, Hourglass does not retail within any country that requires animal testing.

Now I'm extra happy I've decided to spring for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder! :-)

I did read that about them. I think they are exclusively made in California. Which powder did you get? I got Mood first, then the palette. I still love Mood the most! I think Luminous is next on my list but I want Diffused too!

These look beautiful. They are on my wish list. My friend has the Hourglass primer and it's a very lightweight consistency. She loves it. Makeup artist Wayne Goss gives Hourglass products excellent ratings. I listen to his tutorials and have learned quite a bit from him.

I got DIffused -- Josh Collier said he uses it all over his face, and that's what I'm hoping to be able to do. He showed the list from least pearl to most pearl, and Diffused was 2nd on the list which also added to my decision - I don't want too much shine/reflection/"glow".

I have pink undertones (I'm VERY fair) and am continuously complaining that most foundations are too yellow -- so I gave this a lot of thought (it's yellow!) before deciding on my first shade. (So many say "I want them all!" that I know I'll probably be coming back for more.

Another factor in my decision is that my face is slightly red (hardly noticeable) because of my Tria antiaging laser treatments, so hoping this will counteract that, too.

I think Mood is gorgeous, and was sorely tempted, believe me! I'd even like to try the palette even though I'd probably use those shades infrequently.

I'll give a Diffused review when it arrives!

You know I will! I'm the Queen of not liking what most other people on the planet love, though, so bear that in mind if my review is less than stellar. :-)

I bought one of their chubby lipstick pencils at Sephora, and I like it very much. This is good news to me. I'll buy more from them now.

I've heard wonderful reviews about that primer! I think the palette comes with a sample. You might check out those shades and see if they are the shades you're interested in. I think it's $58.

ETA: I'm a big Wayne Goss fan -- and now Josh Collier (who is a rep for Hourglass). Some bloggers/YouTubers are so dull, and to me, these guys have some zip. Josh looks about 17 years old, I swear. :-)

Yes, let me know. I'm very fair too with freckled ruddy skin (Irish). I thought the diffused might help with this. I did just buy some Paula's Choice skin brightener and vitamin C15 so between that and the hourglass I am hoping for an improvement! I'm sure you will love it and become obsessed like me! Smiley Wink. It's just that little something extra that helps.

Yes -- it's definitely nice to support such a conscientious company. And their products mostly garner rave reviews -- win win!
