Hope In A Jar Night

I just heard Mari Lyn from Philosophy say that she uses Miracle Worker retinoid pads at night and then uses the new Hope in a Jar Night moisturizer immediately after. HIAJN has glycolic acid in it and I was under the impression that you shouldn't use a retinoid and glycolic together as they will work against each other. Thoughts??
