I just had something similar happen to me. I had a super bad reaction to Paula's Choice 4% BHA foam. I have very oily acne prone skin, and I have never had a reaction like this to BHA before.
I used the foam Monday night. My skin was red, bumpy, itchy, and dry on Tuesday morning. I used jojoba oil, cortisone, and my regular moisturizer in the morning. When I got home from work, I washed with Olay Gentle Cleanser, and then put some aloe vera gel all over my face. Later that night I also used a cold compress taking turns putting it over various parts of my face. Before I went to bed I mixed some jojoba oil, cortisone cream, and moisturizer together and put that all over my face. I used a bit of Vaseline on the super dry areas. I didn't use anything else on my face.
Wednesday morning the redness was lessened. I repeated the same process (but no ice) Wednesday. Today most of the redness is gone. I added my regular PC Hydralight toner back in this a.m., before i applied my concoction of oil, cortisone, and moisturizer. I think my skin is almost back to normal. My chin is still a bit dry, especially at the corners of my mouth, so I just put some Vaseline there.
Hope this helps.

Wilma this is what happened to me. I was breaking out and wanted to treat my aging acne prone skin still. I got the bumps then the itching and now burning and quite dry. eyes and face. I used a wash with the Salicylic Acid and didn't think it got near my eyes but it did. I went ahead and bought some Shea Butter (Organic) at Whole Foods. I do have a Rosehip Bar of Soap that I purchased a while back from Shea Terra. I will do the less is better.

Where do you get this at? I'm hoping you don't mean the plant.

Aloe plants are amazing. Break off a leaf and the plant seals itself and grows more leaves. The leaf that you break off will seal itself too so that you can continue to open it at the bottom where it has re-sealed itself and use what you need until the leaf is empty. They are easy to grow and what could be more organic than aloe fresh from the plant! I have even taken a leaf that has resealed itself with me to work in my bag without problems. Cut open the leaf at the bottom, use what you need, leave it exposed to air for a bit and it reseals itself.

The last aloe I bought was at Wal-Mart and I always buy just clear aloe.. I always keep some on hand. It is great for burns, as well as itchy skin. I would think you could also find it at any Drugstore.
