Help.. Primetime Foundation and Eye Shadow Primer separate

Shortely before Christmas I purchased kits that included Primetime Brightening Foundation and Primetime Eye Shadow. Both of these products have separated on me such that the initial squeeze is thin and watery. When this happens I massage the tube to mix until I get a better consistency. Has this happened to anyone else? Does it matter if these products are stored laying down or standing up on their caps?
