Help! Application for Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX Face Tightener

I have tried numerous times to use the PTR Face Tightener. I have tried a light application. It just doesn't seem to want to work. It's great when first applied, then when you try to remove the "white" colored film it comes off. I read the one review where it said to apply with a "dry" Q-tip.

Does anyone have any suggestions or any other way to apply and achieve successful results? If so, please let me know.
