Re: Has anyone tried SkinMedica Skincare?

3 days in and it's not working for me. The cleanser is rather perfumey. The rejuvenate isn't nearly moisturizing enough and calmplex burns like hell and makes me red. After feeling a slight burn all day, I just got home from work, cleansed with Purity, slathered in some Miracle Worker Night that I pulled out of my stash and man do I feel so much better.

No. My skin reddens and warms easily but it's not rosacea.

@Rachb

Have you had your new regimen planned out for you by a skin care professional?

My skin is ultra delicate and I have psoriasis. I have a schedule as to what to use and when. I don't use their cleanser because I would rather pour my dollars into the skin care. I cleanse with CereVe. I alternate products every other day. Sunscreen has become a religion because you must with Retinol. Skin Medica is a fine line of quality products but not one I would dive into without consultation. Very professional strength, not like buying Olay at Target for example.

@Jacie my sister-in-law is a seasoned esthetician. She works in a derm's office and she knows my skin very well. She and I discussed the different products at length.

@Rachb  everyone's skin is so different when it comes to skincare -and  the reason why I always say get samples 1st [eBay is my go to a lot of times when wanting to try something] but the online store seems to tempt me with samples as well in my package.

Sorry this didn't work for you. I use my own cleansers - oils and enjoy using other ones. I didn't care for Purity. My skin is dry this SkinMedica Rejuvinative moisturizer has been quite kind to my skin and and it says it does this on the label, it's for stressed dry skin... ceramides feel soothing to me and it's the perfect amount of moisture. I know their dermal repair was a bit heavy for me (had a sample)..is your skin dry and sensitive? mine is just dry now (post meno Smiley Sad  ) - wish we had a site where we could send people samples! I'd love you to try that.

I have not used their cleanser, which one is it? if you see this I'm curious. I use oils to cleanse most all the time esp. in spring and summer when out more it removes the tenacious sunblock great but to cleanse I find the most gentle and effective for non sunblock or uber long lasting makeup is Fresh Soy Cleanser..it is wonderful. A little pricey but omgosh a love! it's a gel low foam type. Dr Gross has a good one too.

I have not heard of Calmplex by skinMedica but maybe as someone had said your skin becoming red due to Rosacea.

A line that is truly worth a try when it comes to skin like yours and I incorporate into my regime is Replenix and it has green tee phenols and caffeine to help potentiate the skincare absorption . They have a wonderful serum and cream which feels like a serum called The Power of 3.

I so wish you could try that line. Okay sorry so long...I enjoy skincare and love to share what has helped me.

I use the Retinol 25% and it is gentle. I hope that it is helping.

Re: Has anyone tried SkinMedica Skincare?

I would say no. The cleanser is perfumed and the calmplex which is supposed to calm the skin made me very red and I could feel a slight burning sensation all day.
