Has anyone had issues with a Sephora return?

I bought four little containers of Perricone Cold Plasma from them. Before they were opened I found a little tube in my stash and started using it first. I had a reaction so returned the four little containers along with the freebies they sent with them. I wrote on the note that nothing had been opened or used. THis was on Jan26th, After three phone calls and having been told different things I got a person yesterday who said the order showed incomplete, she asked me if I had sent back the whole order. I can't prove that I did so I'm probably just out 60 some dollars. It's not a lot of money but someone either lifted the product when the return was opened or I dont know what could have happened. I"ll never ever order from them again and this was the first time. I"ve been told twice that it would be looked into and I"d get a call back, of course I didnt get a call back from them.
