I prefer my ice cream come from companies that don't ignore dangerous problems until there's a death toll.

If Consulte Beauty or JM or any other cream is sold by weight and it's half full, do you weigh it to see if the weight is the correct amount? i ask because either Lancome or Estee Lauder had this issue back in the late 80's and the answer was they make the jar larger so the product doesn't ooze down the side when you close it. I get that as I have products that do that. Some thing changed and they started making the jars smaller and the product went all the way to the top. I remember my mom complaining about the change, lol, because product would now ooze when she put the seal back on.
In any event, if the weight is what is shown on the label, then you have your answer. And if any company is giving you less than what you paid for weight wise, then yes, they SHOULD be sued.
I'm going to see if my Costco carries Halo Top because now I'm curious as to why it's so expensive, lol.
The reason it costs more is it has protein in it ~ taste is not much better/different than regualr ice cream

@KKJ wrote:I've had a problem for a long time with JM jars being about half full due to huge air pockets & heard I shouldn't complain due to its being sold "by weight". What annoys me is when JM demos the creams on air they are always bursting over the top, leading you to believe that is what you will get. It's obvious the jars shown on air have been purposely overfilled. And a lot of money spent for half-filled jars.
Exactly. If the jars aren't being filled, why have such big jars? Does it add to the weight? Many women have brought this issue up. There is such a drastic difference what is shown on air and what you actually get.

What flavors do you love? Maybe I should try something besides my strawberries in vanilla when I return to Publix territory in the fall.
I live in Florida and shop at Publix on a regular basis. Publix Premium ice cream is absolutely delicious and during the holidays they also offer some great flavors. My daughter and I love their peppermint ice cream at Christmas. It's vanilla ice cream with crushed up candy canes in it and it's absolutely delicious!

It's fake icecream anyway. I'd rather buy the real deal and excersize portion control and limit myself to one or two servings a week. Which I can do.....as long as I don't buy chocolate.
