Halo Perfecting Powder.............

After all these years and all the powder foundations offered by the newer and older vendors I still find this to be my favorite of all. Perfect coloring, buffs beautifully and if you choose can wear over any TM, BB, etc without looking a cakey setting powder. It seems to remain luminous with or without what you put under it.

It beats IT, Ready and Tarte in my makeup arsenal.

Anyone else using HALO and what are your feelings about it.

I liked halo but I haven't seen it available lately.You are right that it blends and doesn't get cakey .I will look for it again and thanks for reminding me of that.

A friend gave me Halo as a gift and I loved it. Used it all up. But it was out of my price point to pay for MU, so i did not replace it. Wish i had. Now i don't think QVC carries it anymore.

I really loved Halo, but I could not get the right color match. It is a beautiful product, though.

Hourglass Ambient Dim is very similar, but more of a setting/finishing powder. It works for me.

I like Smashbox Halo also. It's a bit pricey, but lasts a long time.

Sephora still sells it and you can now buy a .25 oz. size for $22. They also have a Try Me kit on Sephora online that comes with other products for $29; good deal.

NYX has one like Halo and quite a few of the reviews say it is just like Halo for less money. I have it but I never used Halo so I can't compare it.

I wanted to try it but I can't figure out what shade. What do you use? I'm fair/light (1 step up from porcelain) with pink undertones.

Irishrose, your best bet is fair which might be a bit too light. I wouldn't say it's pink, but it's more neutral than light. That is the coolest shade until you get to medium which will be much too dark. Light is golden, and the new fairly-light is almost yellow. I thought it would be pinker than light but it's not.
