I always liked Lisa with her hair up. I would like to see maybe some soft tendrils coming down the sides...it would soften the look on her.
Also, I HATE the lipliner on her....it looks too obvious and so outdated. When she does that, my eyes immediately go to her lips and that's all I see....very distracting!
All in all, I think she is a beautiful lady.

It is considered more of an evening hair style and many of the celebs who have worn their hair that way at recent award shows looked very pretty and very appropriate.
For a TV hosting job, not so much. I love the new shorter do's that so many celebs are turning to. It is so flattering on so many of them. I am referring to the bob cuts along with the Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Hudson type cuts. I lean more to bobs but those shorter cuts look really cute.
Jen Anniston looks so much younger with her shorter bob as does Kelly Ripa. Their hair finally has some style to it instead of just the long hair that no longer was all that flattering. My stylist read in some recent newsletter related to her business that Jennifer A was really forced into the cut as the bottom ends of her hair were just breaking off. That can happen to anyone but especially those who constantly have their hair worked on for their jobs ....... and when it is color treated over and over.
I like many of the updated styles and on so many it is really complementing them as well as making them look younger. And yes, I think LR would look great with a shorter more updated do.
She is playing the part, dressing up with and for the JEWELRY. Many women dress up and go somewhere fancy with their nice jewelry on, so she is dressing the part. There really does not need to be a 10 page dissertation on a BUN. This is not a post about how Lisa SHOULD wear her hair or how old she looks. The OP simply asked others if they like a BUN. My gawd you people.

The other way I like her hair (and a way you rarely see her with these days), is when it is somewhat shorter, about collar length. When she started wearing a few extensions a while back, she started off this way. The extensions made her own hair, which as I remember was a little below chin length, a bit longer and fuller, but not too much.
I never care for it when it's just hanging down her back. As much as I think everyone should wear their hair as they like it, and getting older shouldn't automatically mean shorter, I don't feel that long style is so becoming.
I think there is going to be a return to shorter hair, though. You are seeing so many people on TV getting shorter cuts all of a sudden. I guess people are getting tired of the long, beachy wave look. I think it's had it's run.
Short hairstyles are, and have been "in" for awhile now. From pixie cuts to bobs, to just hitting the shoulders, shorter hair is the thing right now. But long, flowing hair will NEVER go "out".

I think a chignon is very classy looking on the right person.

I think she really needs to cut it much shorter with layers to get some body and fullness out of it and to get it in better condition. It looks very teased up, dull, flat and dry.
BB, I agree, she would look much younger and fresher with the style you described. I think it's more her makeup that makes her look old & dated.

The only thing I don't understand are the thick, extra-long bangs that go down to the eye socket..............
