Hair product -- help please

So now it is Sunday morning, my first wash after my new hair cut and NOW I realize i need a styling product. I have thick course dry hair. I need something between a mousse and a pomade. I am looking to create some piecey definition and hold. If it had some shine factor that would be a plus! TIA
