I have been using Wen for 4 or 5 years now and my hair has only gotten thicker. I was experiencing major hair loss from chemical damage before I started using Wen--Wen stopped it and made my hair grow back in. I know of about 10 or so of my family and friends that are Wen users--no hair loss issues with any of them. There are a lot of plant based ingredients that could cause allergic reactions in some people, but that comes with any product. I had an allergic reaction once to a Matrix product that caused some hair loss. I stopped using it--I don't expect Matrix to do anything about it. My guess is that a majority of the hair loss claims that are real are probably caused by some other medical issue.

Do you ever think that someone from the Chaz camp isn't making these kinds of posts prior to his shows so that all of those that love it come on in the product's and his defense touting the benefits? It is a quickest way to generate a huge thread spreading the gospel of WEN and CCs. I'm just saying that it is great advertising, and great advertising is what Chaz does best. That is how WEN came into being. CCs have been around in the "ethnic" hair lines forever. He just got a group of influential women, the Orange county types, using it, investing in it, and advertising it. CCs work for some people and is an alternative to traditional shampoo. Baking soda and vinegar works for the natural group of people, but vinegar is not a smell of the other group.

When I first started using Wen, and only Wen, I noticed in more hair loss in the shower. In my case I linked it to the fact that I was combing the product through my hair with the comb while in the shower, as directed. At first it was alarming how much hair I would lose, but after time it subsided as my hair became healthier. I also have to say that I have noticed while using tea tree cc and oil that my hair has grown faster than ever.

How does the fear of possible hair loss drum up business? Some people are afraid, to try Wen, based only on unsubstantiated claims of hair loss.
Wen has been around for twenty years and on QVC for almost ten years, so where are all the posts ,about hair loss, prior to 2009-2010?
The 32oz CC has reviews dating back to the year 2007 (two years after Wen first appeared on QVC), and none, of the one star reviews, mention hair loss. It's only after Wen's rise in popularity, five years later (starting around 2010), that the claims of hair loss started.

Simple, it gets people talking about how it only makes their hair healthy, full, long, and grow, grow, grow. That is enough. You know how some people start rumors just to draw attention, regardless of the rumor, then they pop some kind of big news once they are all buzzed about. This is the same thing. Hollywood does it all the time. This only serves to discuss the positives and rebuttal those fears.
I wouldn't know prior to 2009; I don't pay that much attention to a hair product to track all the discussions regarding its side effects and praise.
CC has been around far longer than Wen, so that is nothing new. If you speak to people of color regarding using conditioner to wash their hair, some will praise it and some don't like it, just like this. I'm some of them can even discuss how it made their hair fall out, as various products do. I have an allergic reaction to Suave Coconut Shampoo but not the conditioner. Go figure. We all vary in our own chemical makeup, so things affect us different. That is why there are so many variations of products on the shelves. Think bottle nipples. Some babies only take one kind, while others will take anything. We just have our own versions of pacifiers of our desires.

Well he will never talk about it. But I am sure those people are allergic to some sort of ingredient. I had a reaction to tea tree where I turned red as a lobster!! But you know if you are worried about it then try samples of the 2 oz packets or buy them individually on ebay that way you can try it and not invest $$ in it till you know. Foe me wen does not do anything that another brand can not do just as well. You just have to try it for yourself

Its not a rumor people are really loosing hair over wen. There is 1,000's of complaints online of people and hair loss. you should not dismiss other people just because it is not happening to you. Those people with hair loss are probably having issues over being allergic to an ingredient. Wen will not work for everyone

I agree totally! Some people are just far to obsessed with such a small thing in life. They defend it as they would their children.
