I have very thick coarse hair but it can fall easily due to the weight. I also used to use Suave and sad to discover that it was d/c. This isn't a drugstore brand but I love Redken Full Frame. Bought it at Ulta and the SA suggested spraying it into my hand and then distribute into the root of my hair. It is a mousse. She said if it's sprayed directly into the hair, it can make the hair sticky.
