While I have seen Lisa present Hairmax many times, I have never heard her say she used it. Believe me, if she used it and got great results, she would be saying so. I tend to believe it didn't give her great results. Surely, she has tried it.

I'm not sure Lisa is LOSING hair -- which is what the Hair Max is made to address. They've never claimed it's for thin hair -- only that it might help regrow hair you have lost. I've heard her say her hair is very fine and it has been all her life. If she never had more hair, what's to regrow?
I'm not sure why everybody is assuming she has tried it. And even if she did and it didn't work for her, they say it doesn't work for everybody. It could still be a great product, and apparently is for some.

I've been using another model for thinning hair - I think the name is Spencer- that I bought at Overstock. I decided to try that brand because it was about $170 and I didn't want to spend more than I had to if there was a chance it wouldn't work. It took at least 3 months to see some little hairs growing at the temples, but it is making a difference. You need to be very patient. When this one breaks I'll replace it with a more powerful Hairmax.

Good luck! And please let us know if it works for you. Sorry about your Mom. :-(
ETA: How much biotin? I keep forgetting to get some! I can't remember if I've seen 1,000 or 5,000 daily recommended. Thanks.
MarenSeattle: Hope you see this.
Thank you for the kind words. I cry a bit every day, it's been nearly 4 months. I thought it was easier in month 2 then now. I just help my 90 yr old dad now and it takes some pain away...helping others I have found is the one tried and true way to get your mind off things and sadness. Maybe that is why nursing kept me so strong through so much.
Okay now about the Biotin
I asked about this to my well versed hair stylist whose into health and my sis a doc in this area (Integrative Medicine) both said take the gel caps only, no tablets/pills. Also 5,000 mg, not less. I take it faithfully with my daily meds and supplements (no interactions at all..that was a must for me). I truly mean feel has worked more then any cream or product in my life. I use a brand called Natures Bounty, since I was not near a Whole Foods or other health store at that time many months ago and wanted it STAT so this brand was there amongst all the hard tablets thus I snatched it up. My hair is going down the drain still however it is growing back and my nails and toe nails too lol grow like wildfire (I am using SNS nails now and they grow so fast--it's almost too fast and have to go for fill ins more often lol)I began the SNS due to like my hair my nails were getting weak :/ I'm 57...lacka hormones stress but good thyroid and my sis does an in depth blood test on that.
I will keep all posted on Hair Max! It's I think an older model..it says Lux 9 on the handle.
Take care now and buy the Biotin, it's at all drugstores I'm sure and many grocery stores I will try a 'high end Biotin' next trip to Whole Foods LOL since it WORKS ![]()

Mar5775 (hope this works!)
It's a process, Mar5775, there's not a time frame. And it's not "a little bit better every day" -- some days are okay, other not so okay. At least that's how it was for me. I still think about my parents and miss them every day (my mom's been gone 25 years, my dad almost that long). There are times when I just ache for them, but those are few and far between these days. I feel they are always near, and whether or not that's in my mind I don't care -- it's comforting to me. As time goes on, our acceptance grows, but I don't ever think it's something we'll "get over". Just do whatever you need to do, and be comforted knowing she knew/knows how much you love her. *hug*
Thanks for the dosing info on the Biotin. I have a great supplement store (Super Supplements for those in Seattle) I go to. I'll pick some up on the way home! And I noted -- gel caps, no pills!
The "9" is what they're currently presenting on the Q, and I've read reviews from this and other lesser-number models from pleased users. Don't give up! I'll tell you that when I was using the LightStim, the peach fuzz on my face increased exponentially. I practically had a peach beard! I'm not sure of the difference between output (or however it's measured) of the LightStim and HairMax, but I'm convinced that's what caused the increase. So lasers CAN work! Looking forward to hearing your results.

On 6/8/2014 care04 said: Yup, it works. I bought one for my then 21 year old son, and his hair loss has lessened considerably. He's been using it for over a year. I just bought another one for my older son, who has mild hair loss, but wanted to use HairMax, too. I spent $800 for two of them, and believe me, it's money well spent. My youngest son said he feels far more confident now that he isn't self-conscious about his hair. Confidence attracts money. They'll pay me back ten times over, I'm sure of that.
What a great review -- thanks!

I remember you posting this before. Are you using this version?

Thank you so much for the supportive words..I'm very sorry you lost both parents and so long ago..one day at a time now is all I can do and helping 90 yr. old dad whose grieving helps get my mind off things a bit.
I was laughing at the "peach beard"...omgosh too funny! I know what ya mean. I can always use a shaver if mine grows lol who cares as long as I keep my head of hair and as you say if the Lightstim did that it does work.
As I post I'm ready to use it then off to bed. Day 3 and hoping it keep my hair 'stable'.
Good you have a place to get the Biotin, so help me it is a miracle and I've tried just about everything in the world.
My best, M
