My friend said her derm doc office recommends a laser cap by a company called Revian, anyone used it or heard of it??

@Shelbelle

Revian uses LEDs in their devices. LEDs are not nearly as effective as lasers b/c LEDs cannot penetrate deep enough with the amount of energy needed to stimulate hair growth.

Wow, wonder why the are recommending it, possible kickback ????

Re: Hair Max Laser Cap

[ Edited ]

I still can't decide between the two devices so I ordered both of them. I will see which one feels better when I can see and feel them both in person. Costco (for the Theradome) has an excellent return policy and QVC is giving 6 months trial on the Hair Max. I hope by the time I get them both in my hands I will be able to see which one I like better, then I can return the other one and hope I made the right decision.

I am not even sure this will help for telogen effluvium but one of the Hair Max reviews on QVC has a positive review from a lady who lost tons of hair due to covid. Fingers crossed!

@I like celery

To me it would seem logical to go with the Theradome b/c that would work for everyone's follicles, deep and shallow. What good would a laser cap be if it had lasers that didn't reach deep enough no matter how many laser lights it had?  My vote goes to Theradome. @dollgal

@dollgal

Theradome makes one with 80 lasers. That one is not sold at Costco but you can find it on the Theradome site for $895. They offer financing and have a 6-month return policy.

Sorry- it didn’t seem clear to me, based off of your comments here, and in older threads on the subject. I’m just trying to learn here. I think I’ll stick with the PRP treatment I had from my Derm. It was kind of expensive, and a little painful, but I’ve noticed a change from only one treatment. I, hopefully, caught the hair loss I’ve experienced above my forehead and temple area in time, but may continue with one more treatment, if my Derm thinks I would benefit.
