I have been looking for a great curling wand for my hair. I have thick, coarse, wavy hair that is about 2-3 inches below my shoulders. I have tried all different curling irons and wands. Nothing was great. The curl didn't last, they made my hair frizzy, they fried my hair, etc. I had always seen the Sultra iron at Sephora but always thought it was kind of cheesy because of the packaging. Last week I had been browsing the Sephora site again and noticed the iron had really great reviews. As luck would have it, Dermstore had a 20% promo and they carry the iron. Since they offer free shipping and no tax I decided to buy it. I really need a curling iron and this was a great opportunity to get it at a great price. I used it yesterday for the first time. It was AWESOME!

The first difference I noticed, and this was huge for me, was that it was really easy to slip the wand out of the curl without unwrapping the hair. This is due to the Japanese Kyocera technology. When you use a curling wand you are supposed to slip it out of the curl, while holding the curl in place until it cools. When I released the curl it was SO shiny and bouncy. I did my entire head in about 20ish minutes, not too bad for my amount of hair.I wrapped my hair around the wand loosely for a beachy, wavy look. They came out fabulous. I didn't even use hairspray and it lasted the entire day. I got so many compliments at work too!

Today I experimented with different curls. I made tight ringlets, loose waves, curled just the mid-shaft to ends. It was great! I definitely understand all the great reviews for this iron and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great curling wand.
