Ladies, I have been coloring my hair at home with the same color about eight times now. It is called medium blonde from Loreal #8. It's a little dark, but when it washes out in a couple weeks it gets lighter.

I'm afraid to try another brand because this one has not failed me yet. My SIL says I should try another brand and that they are all basically universal in what they call their colors, that medium blonde from another brand may be a little lighter.

I guess my question is, do you use different brands or do you stick with what you use and if you do go to other brands, are the names of the hair color all the same?
