HMV brush cleaning?

Hi ladies,

How do you clean your HMV brushes? I have the one from the SOTS kit, and I'm afraid to clean it with soap and water like I do with the other brushes. I don't want to ruin it. Do you guys use anything different? Mine is looking pretty nasty and I'd rather clean it then get a new one. Any suggestions?
