Re: HELP Needed!! Hair Spray Buildup.

Ladies, anytime you use product on your hair it will build up, you cant see it and sometimes cant feel it, but trust me its there.  Regular use of a clarifying shampoo every week or two will take care of it.

Re: HELP Needed!! Hair Spray Buildup.

Good Plan. I used nothing on mine other than the usual shampoo and conditioner I always use. It is apparent i need to use buildup removing/clairfying shampoo. But not suave LOL  Smiley Happy

I would find another hairspray and ask your hairdresser since a build up like you describe is a little out of the ordinary

Try Dawn Dish Soap.  If it wont harm baby ducks it wont harm your hair.   Or try leaving the shampoo on your hair for several minutes and then rinse, shampoo again and rinse, rinse, rinse.  Use a good leave in conditioner.  If you continue to use hair spray, use a good clarifying shampoo once every week or two.

Hask Charcoal clarifying shampoo and conditioner. The only one that cleans my bleach blonde hair and leaves it soft and full of volume.

Re: HELP Needed!! Hair Spray Buildup.

I have used Dawn in my hair and it cleans very well. Just don't use it everyday! I used it when I went on a wild adventure trip on the beach where we had to bathe in the ocean. Not many shampoos or soaps will lather or clean in salt water but the Dawn seemed to do a pretty good job.Woman Happy

Michael Christopher Erase Hair & Scalp Exfoliator. I have recently discovered this product for the exact same reason you shared. I shampoo daily and find using this amazing product 2x a week keeps my fine, thin hair clean sans buildup. I keep looking for hair spray, shampoo and conditioner without silicones. Im finding some out in the market. Hopefully more companies will move in that direction.
