Groupon ebay redemption help needed

I purchased an ebay gift card thru groupon when it was $7 for a $15. gift card. For some reason ebay is not accepting the gift card number, so I called ebay cust svc and they said that this was a common problem, and that ebay will file a report and I will hear back in 24 - 48 hours with an answer. Meanwhile, I just won an auction and I want to pay the seller.

Any advice is appreciated! TIA
