I have mature skin with rosacea. Oil cleansers and eye creams have worked well for me but I was advised to not use them with the extensions. As advised, I used baby shampoo to wash my face last night which made my skin feel dry and tight. I feel I really need an emollient eye cream. Ladies, you are so knowledgeable, can you help me?

If you were advised not to use eye creams, I would not use an eye cream. I do not have eye lash extensiions but it is important to follow aftercare insturctions for any procedure or service.

You just want to keep any oil based products away from your eyes. When I had extensions, I bought a water based cleanser from my salon. I was able to find mascara, conditioner and cleanser on Amazon for much less. The conditioner will help you go longer between fills. Hope that helps!

I know this is off subject, but It might be of interest. I have Psoriasis and water is my enemy. So I wash with conditioner. I don't have the dry feeling after.

I've had lash extensions for over a year.
You can't use oil-based products on your eyes, but I never did anyway.
I use my regular eye cream all around my eyes, avoiding the lash area. I don't use a cream on my lids anyway. I even use jojoba oil on my face just making sure to avoid the eye area.
I really didn't have to change my routine much at all and I can go a month between fills.
Good luck. I hope you love them as much as I do!

Thank you for your responses. @mstyrion 1 I decided to do what you are doing and so far so good. I do miss the oil cleanser but Purity seems to work okay, especially since I have not been using eyeliner.

This is the main reason I do not get lash extensions and do lash lifts instead.

You'll be fine with the Purity.
There is really no reason to use an oily cleanser around the eyes after lash extensions. You aren't wearing mascara and a lot less eyeliner too.
I never cared for the film in my eyes that oil-based cleansers gave me anyway!
