I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years, but now you've discontinued the skin care products that have been great for my sensitive skin - so I'm done with you. I understand the need to bring out new products, but why stop making the basics that so many customers love? (The managers at my local Ulta and Sephora stores said they were always among their best sellers.)
The new cleansers/moisturizers give me a rash.
Luckily, I was able to find the Purely Nourishing Moisturizer in stock somewhere and ordered several. Still looking for someplace that still has the Purifying Facial Cleanser in stock.

I hope you join the throng of women complaining directly to bareMinerals via their website. It is the best way for them to hear from you and the only way you might get action.

I loved the Purifying Cleanser, as well, and hate that they discontinued it! Grrr!!!
I ended up buying a set that included the large Purifying Cleanser, supersize eye and neck cream here on QVC. It was $100 for all but should last me a long time. I might come back and order another one.

jewel3 ... that was the first place I lodged a complaint. Figured I'd do it here, too, in case their rep to QVC looks at the forums.

Leslie recently announced on Facebook that she was leaving the company. New Shisedo management is probably streamlining the product line.

I'm just confused as to why all the great cosmetic companies always wind up selling out to the large corporations. I know it allows them to increase in size because of the influx of capital, but why can't they just stay small like they are and continue to make great products instead of having everything farmed out to China and discontinuing the other products? I think the only one that hasn't done this is Jennifer Stallone's SSC line, because she obviously already has the capital and truly believes in her products and helping other women. Thank goodness for her and for Isomers. I'm just so tired of this big business.

Long time ago I used the skin care products of Bare Minerals. They were simply wonderful on my skin. Had to change as I got older because other products addressed more of the challenges I was having. But I do remember BM products were quite good.
Sorry to hear they are going away. ![]()

It was inevitable after Leslie sold the company to Shiseido, as she was phased out of development and operation of BareMinerals, there would be changes long time customers would not like. The first sign of worst things to come was when the powders began the process of going from loose to pressed. Next came the introduction of what for years we were told was evil... liquid foundation. The iconic loose powder foundation may be the only loose thing left in the brand within the next couple of years. Now the changes in the skincare products brought up by wahoogaz.
I completely understand companies have to continually court new business in order to keep a line viable over the years. I've seen more than a handful not make adjustments and disappear. On the otherhand, there are also many success stories where a company grows without alienating the loyal customer base which made the brand successful. The people who manage product development and production at Revlon, and those at Estee Lauder who do this for Clinique, have done a masterful job over the decades of keeping the brands relevant and fresh, while retaining long time loyal customers.
