@Harpa   It's a personal prefererence. If you like it, that's what matters. I just feel it can tend to show inperfections or eventually irritate the skin because of the extra acids/exfoliation needed. The skin also has a natural protective barrier which can be lost in this process.

I've been using CeraVe moisturizer and cleanser for a couple years because they contain Niacidamides and Ceramides.  Can't say that my complexion is like glass, but the surface texture has smoothed considerably since I've been using CeraVe consistently.  I'm very pleased.

@Harpa

Then link was removed in your first post. Was it for a product or was it a discussion?

@Shanus

Actually, I think it is just the opposite -- that it doesn't show imperfections. There is just this luminosity.

But, I am heeding any warning about over exfoliating....(I didn't think I was). I've never been red or irritated, and my skin does not flake.

My skin looks and feels firm and soft.

Harpa,

I hope you don't mind me joining in, but I found this thread so interesting!

I know the product you mentioned was more of a toner, and would have to be ordered.

I was wondering if you have heard of "The Ordinary"?

Was researching it online from typing in niacinamide and this was one of the products that came up.  I was at Ulta today, and they said it is a great seller.  Only online in Sephora.

It is 10% niacinamide + 1% zinc.

Has really good reviews and was remarkably $5.90 a bottle.

Any thoughts or reviews on this product?  I did buy it as I have an oily t-zone, and visible pores.
