I'm always in search of a sunscreen without chemicals and a good SPF rating.

Ghostdemocracy has one, 33 SPF, and it is light and non greasy. I think this is my new favorite and wanted to share. I couldn't drag any info over from their site, so no pretty pictures.

So far I am happy with it on my face, and I am very picky. I wish it were a higher SPF, but if I am in need of one at the beach or elsewhere, I would use something else anyway. Ghostdemocracy dot com.

Re: Ghostdemocracy sunscreen

I haven't heard of this brand before. I always wait until the July issue of Consumer Reports and check out their ratings.  I get the one that is the most highly recommended.

Re: Ghostdemocracy sunscreen

@LuvmyLab  I have two other items from them, the lightbulb serum (18.0% Vitamin C (tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate),1.9% Vitamin E, 0.5% Bakuchiol, 0.5% Bisabolol) and the hyaluronic serum (hyaluronic plus niacinimide plus white tea leaf and linden flower). I did not put that in bold, but this I was able to pull from the website.

Since The Ordinary was sold, I've been looking for something else, and these are clean beauty products.

The sunscreen also has niacinimde, artichoke leaf extract, and turmeric. So it is skincare and sunscreen, and it has good reviews on the website.

@SilleeMee said on another thread that the Vitamin C in this was a good kind, so I felt better about getting it.

I like the hyaluronic acid but am still on the fence about the Vit C serum. I, too, am new to this product line, and they don't have a boatload of products anyway. I like that they are clean though and throw in skincare when they can.

@KLm

Yes, I believe we had a discussion about that VC serum not too long ago. What I was impressed with is that 18% THD ascorbate. That's a hefty amount for that type of VC. How's the serum been working out for you?

@SilleeMee When you're impressed, I'm impressed Smiley Happy

I'm still on the fence about the Vit C. I use it to top off the other things I use, so maybe alone it would be more impactful. I like the ghostdemocracy products so far, and their shipping is quick.

Oh thanks! I would probably try to use the serum first thing on clean skin. That's usually the way it goes with VC serums...apply it first for best results.

@KLm  does the sunscreen leave a white cast?

Re: Ghostdemocracy sunscreen

@SilleeMee I will try it that way and see. Although it has no oil in it, it has a slip to it that seems heavy. It does disappear though and is nicely absorbed.

@Texasmouse No there is no white cast. It is very light. I tried it yesterday on the back of my hand when I opened the shipment. I thought wow, if this does as nicely on my face it is living up to its description. After several hours now, my face does not feel dirty or greasy, and that is something I have hated in the past with sunscreens.

The type of VC used in your serum is an oil. So yes, it does contain oil. fyi.
