@35yrcustomer - If you want something that will stay on through anything, check out Senegence's LipSense. I put two coats of color on, followed by one coat of gloss. It doesn't come off and will last all day.

Best wishes to you and congratulations to your groom!   Smiley Happy

Congratulations, @35yrcustomer.  Are you looking for a colored lipstick type or a treatment?

Treatment - Skinn Lip 6X

Color - Laura Geller Jelly Balm (repeat application is necessary, though)

Congratulations @35yrcustomer !

Any lipcolor that is long lasting may tend to be a little drying. Its the nature of being enduring. Perhaps you can supplement the moisture aspect by reapplying a clear gloss quickly as needed.

Ive been using Revlon Color Stay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick for well over a decade. I put n it on in the morning...and I NEVER  need to reapply the whole day. Its in my lips when I got home from work. Very little if any transfer to my drinking glass rims etc.

I would definitely use a lip pencil as close to the color of your lips under whatever lip product you use.  That will help the lip product stay on and as it wears off, you will still have color on your lips.  Long lasting and moisturizing lip product usually don't go together as "long lasting" is usually a more matte lipstick and can be drying.  Definitely would use a lipstick and not a balm as balms don't wear very long and would have to be reapplied often.  There are so many lipsticks out there - Revlon, MAC, L'Oreal.

@35yrcustomer   Congrats!!! Usually long lasting and moisturizing don't go together. Matte lipsticks last the lonest, but not are somewhat drying. Moisturizing lipsticks don't last long because of the "balm like" ingredients.

My suggestion is to use lip liner and fill in the entire lip. Then lightly set the liner going slightly over the edge of lips w/ powder.  Over that use a lipstick of your choice.
