@tototwo I got a good haircut. I allowed a wash, dry and curl and was in and out within 30 minutes. I asked Kylie to take every precaution. We both wore masks and there was an overhead fan nearby. Each work station was in it's own four foot partition. Unfortunately, there were two other clients who were not wearing masks and neither were their stylists. However they were about 20 feet away. I hope I will be vaccinated before I need another haircut.

Our salons have been re-opened since June and I have been getting my hair cut every four weeks. They do temperature checks and everyone is required to wear a mask.

I go to Great Clips and have been going since they reopened them.  I wear my hair very short (like Jamie Lee Curtis short) and get it cut every 4 weeks.

I cut it twice myself during the lockdown.

With Great Clips, there are no appointments.  I get there 15 minutes before they open so that I'm first in the door.  I figure that's the cleanest it's going to be since they've been closed all night, or, at least I tell myself that to make me feel better.  They only allow 4 people in at a time.

I go in with clean hair and she sprays it with water and cuts it. We both wear masks,  I'm out in less than 15 minutes. Again, my hair is very short so no blow drying needed.

I am a quick in and out person whether it's there or the grocery store or Target.  While I feel comfortable getting my hair cut, it's a firm no for me for a shampoo or blow dry.  I want out quickly and I really do not want the air around me stirred up.. The less time spent close to me the better.

I also still do NOT eat inside a restaurant and don't see doing that for a long time yet.  No way.  I'm strict, but I do get my hair cut.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I haven't had a professional haircut since Sept 2019 and DH has gone almost as long.  We live in Northern Arizona ( highest rate of Covid in the World!) so we are being very cautious. My hair is mid back and I don't color so its easy to wash, comb and have DH trim an inch, approximately every three months. When we were first married I used to use Clippers and Flowbee ( remember?) on DH, so we're back to that.  Did invest in thinning shears and hair cutting scissors.  End result: we're safe, look groomed and have saved a ton of $$$$.

I'm in Arizona too and I haven't missed one appointment. I feel totally safe going every month.

Everyone's tolerance for risk is different, @Meowingkitty. My husband and I have also not been to a salon since this all started. We live in L.A. County.

Eee gad I would NEVER go a year without a haircut!!! I've been going every 6 weeks since May when our salons reopened. Before that, I was cutting my own hair. I wear mine in a spikey pixie and need a regular haircut. If someone just needs 2" taken off why not get someone to do that? I can't see the logic of going to a salon for a mere 2". Woman Surprised

@ID2 I am way beyond the age when I allow friends to cut my hair.I have thick straight hair that shows any mistake made. I don't allow friends to give me a chiropractic adjustment either.

I'm getting my hair cut, colored, and blown out tomorrow. I wear a disposable mask and bring an extra with me for after washing the dye out. They do take your temperature when you arrive. This is either my third or fourth appointment. For me vanity has taken over, I can't stand how my hair is. I have lengthened the time between appointments for two reasons, for safety sake and monetary reason as the prices have gone up. I'll use Revlon root touch up when the grays are really coming in, it buys me two or three weeks.
