Re: Gel for nu face

[ Edited ]

@nickycat Look for a good peptide serum without all the preservatives to use with the NuFace. I use Isomers Copper P or Matrixyl  etc when I use the LightStim. Check out these Aloe Vera's.

Earth's Daughter Aloe Vera Gel 1st cold pressed 99.75% Organic

Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis, Citric Acid (preservative), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C as a preservative), Potassium Sorbate (as a preservative to guard against bacteria), Xanthan (to help coat your skin a little better). Earth's Daughter $15.99 12 oz

Lily of the Dessert

Certified Organic Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Gel (99.5%), Carrageenan (thickening agent), Less Than 1% of the following natural, food grade sources: Citric Acid (oxidation inhibitor), Potassium Sorbate (mold inhibitor). Amazon $8.99 32 oz Even though this is juice you can drink you can use it on your skin. I would not drink this one since it has Carrageenan in it.

Aubrey Organics Organic Aloe Barbadensis (aloe) Leaf Juice, Aqua, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Organic Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba (guar) gum, citric acid. Amazon $8.95 4 oz

Or you could get organic freeze dried powder & add water.

For any of those devices that use a conductive gel you can use any kind of product that contains water as that's what conducts the electrical signal to the face. Try KY jelly or even just a plain aloe vera. Even plain water probably would work.

Isomers carries a gel for their similar product.

I like them because they are cruelty free.

Yes @Drythe @nickycat I use Isomers Moisture Mask.  So you get a treatment as well as the lifting from the Nuface or Isomers Nutritone?...., I forget the name of their device.

If you are up for it, youtube has a video where a doctor who works in very remote places makes her own ultrasound gel. It's guar gum, salt, and water. I use this recipe when I use my ultra renew device. Lasts a long time when kept in the fridge and it's inexpensive.

I just got the Nu Face mini about 3 weeks ago. I did not use the gel that came with the device as I read some of the reviews as well as whats in the gel. I have sensitive skin so I did not even want to test try it. I have been using the Hope is Not Enough Serum. This way I don't have to wash or wipe off the product. So far it has worked out. The one down fall is the serum is expensive. I might look to try something else at some point, but for now I will continue to use this serum with the device.
