@Shanus  I am drawn to the cool shades shown. What consitutes if you are cool or warm? I usually buy what I like.

@Janey2   There's the age old "vein test"...if you look at the inside of wrists and veins look blue, you're cool. If weins look more green, you're warm. If you can't tell or both colors seem to be there, you can be a neutral.

Cool toned women seem to have a bit more pink to their skin while warm tones tend to be more yellow. I have a little pinkish undertone, but prefer to go neutral, when available, to cancel out the pink and have a more even, neutral canvas.  This refers to foundations, concealers, blush, etc. You may prefer warm toned shadows even if you're cool, but to me, it always looks "off" if you stray from your natural undertones.

I've never heard of this line, but found a great set online here w/ shadow quad, separate highlight/bronzer compact, lipstick and gloss. The best part is you can order cool or warm.

item # A 359776  $59 and e/p

@Shanus ....i know this is off topic...but i need help with a blush brush...i have an angled one that i used for powder blush....but too drying for my 71 year-old face!  recently started using cream blush...angled brush is too big....i need a smaller brush to apply blush to just the apples of my cheeks....never been good at applying make-up....but i need a little color these days....i have a bobbi brown cream blush that i like...but would like a smaller brush to apply it....thank you....

@nana59   I always apply my cream blush by tapping it on w/ my fingers or another BB Full Coverage face brush....small compact head.  I keep the one with my foundation (tinted moisturizer for me) handy, so I can use it to blend the edges. It still has a bit of foundation, concealer, tinted moisturizer on it before I finish my makeup and spray all brushes w/ IT Brush Love to temporary clean them before their weekly wash.

I admit I read the raves here about Gallany lipsticks, read other reviews and ordered the cool lipstick duo and LOVE it. Wonderful colors, consistency, and price - great buy.
I then ordered a palette of shadows, blushes, contour, highlighter and that was last winter and have used nothing but ever since.

The item here is A420248, got the cool and it is wonderful, the shadows go on so smoothly and last, can be blended, built up, perfect palette. I've been using the neutral blush with a touch of pink cream blush (BB) if I need it and a bit of highlighter.

The best thing is I'm 75, the shadows show but are not too bold, and they DO NOT MAKE MY EYES WATER!!! Result is I can wear eyeliner again and it lasts (none ever did, none) and I also now do not use an eyelid primer as the shadows stay put and look even better as the day goes on.

I added A359778 and it is lovely too, in the cool. Understated, so pretty, and the lip gloss is really nice as well.

I used to use more high end shadows, all irritated my eyes and I never knew they were the culprit.

All in all I think Gallany is wonderful.

@Shanus  Thanks for your quick in depth response. @author   Thanks for your review. I am going to order the cool. It is the first eyeshadow palette I have seen in a long time that appeals to me.

I love Gallany. The lipstick duo Toddy and Cosmo are lovely. Great staying power and I always get asked where to buy. The shadows and blushes are great quality. Ive bought from their site for years. I keep hoping QVC will promote Gallany.
