I am Bare Shell in the Bare Skin foundation, for reference. I am either fairly light or medium beige depending on the SA in the Ready foundation and usually medium beige in the loose. You might be happy with fair in the IT CC, but it would be better if you could get to Ulta to check. Or order both shades like I did, at the time it was only available here.

if price isn't a factor, then I highly suggest Hourglass foundations (either the Veil Fluid Makeup or the Immaculate Liquid Powder foundation). It's lighter in coverage so I layer it with Tarte's airbrush powder foundation. Doing both makes for a lighter feel, not cakey and doesn't aggravate my super sensitive skin (literally everything clogs my pores and breaks me out, so I am extremely happy these 2 have actually healed my skin).

If you are interested you can go to a local Sephora and try out the Hourglass before you purchase it. This is how I color matched myself.

I also am dealing with hormonal acne, so I understand your struggles there. I really like Jane Iredale's pressed powder foundation (can't recall the exact name). It has an SPF (although I always wear a sunscreen under it) and provides nice, buildable coverage. My skin is extremely oily, and this one provides the best finish for my skin, it's not cakey at all and it looks like skin, not heavy makeup. In the past, I've worn Fairly Light in BareMinerals. I'm currently using Warm Silk in the Jane Iredale powder, but will step down to a lighter shade in the next few weeks. It was originally recommended by my dermatologist, and I've also seen it for sale at various day spas in my area.

I also like the itCosmetics Celebration Foundation (the original, not the Illumination one). The Fair is very fair, leaning more towards porcelain. The light is a nice shade, I used it occasionally this summer (it's a bit dark for me right now). I like the finish, and the color stays true.

For me, both products perform similarly, wear equally well and have a nice matte finish. I generally use the same brush to apply both powders and I feel like the Jane Iredale is a slightly better choice for me because the color is a perfect match for my skin. (I'm not sure if itCosmetics offers a shade between Fair and Light, I'll have to check the next time I'm at Ulta).

I also have been fighting adult acne. I also have lots of peach fuzz, broken capillaries and redness, and some find lines, as well as large pores on my nose. I have tried close to 40 foundations over the last year or so. When I just need to run out to run an errand, I'll use bareminerals matte. It doesn't give me much coverage (and I build quite a bit) but it evens me out a little. The original accentuates every pore. For everyday, I wear Bobbi Brown Skin Weightless Powder Foundation. It looks so great! It is buildable coverage, smoothed pores, and doesn't settle into lines. I previously used another BB powder foundation that was discontinued but the Skin Weightless is just as good. The BB sales associate told me you'll never get as good of coverage as with a powder. After my exhausting search, I'm thrilled to be settled on the BB powder foundation.

Lyn, just to save you a trip, Sephora doesn't carry IT, just Ulta, the IT site, and QVC.
